The fourth SET-Plan conference was a success. We welcomed more than 500 participants from all over Europe and beyond.
On the first day of the conference we heard about the significant progress of the implementation of all SET-Plan action lines. The two next Industrial Initiatives on sustainable nuclear energy and bioenergy were launched. The European Energy Research Alliance launched three new Joint Programmes on “Materials for nuclear”, online cash loans for any credit, CCS and Bioenergy. In addition, the European Platform for Universities engaged in Energy Research was launched.
The second day of the conference focused on the need to develop a coherent European approach for international Science and Technology cooperation in the SET-Plan.
